🧼 How to Love Moonessa Turkish Towels
Washing
First Wash: We recommend soaking your new Moonessa Towels in cold water for 12-24 hours before first use. This allows the cotton fibers to expand, enhancing the towel’s absorbency.
Regular Washing: You can safely wash your Moonessa Towels in cold or warm water (up to 40°C/104°F) using a gentle cycle. Use a mild detergent to protect the towel’s natural fibers. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners, as they can weaken the cotton and reduce absorbency.
Color Care
Our Turkish towels are made to keep their vibrant colors without fading or bleeding. For lasting brightness, we recommend drying in the shade when possible.
Drying-Ironing
Air Drying: For the best results, we recommend air drying your Moonessa Towels. Hang them on a line or lay them flat. Air drying helps maintain the towel’s natural softness and longevity.
Tumble Drying: If you prefer to use a dryer, choose the lowest heat setting. Remove the towel promptly to avoid wrinkles.
Ironing is usually not necessary, as your Moonessa Towels will soften naturally with each wash. However, if you prefer, you can iron on a low heat setting to smooth out any wrinkles. Avoid using high heat to prevent damage to the fibers.
Tassel Care & Special Tips
Over time and with washing, the tassels of your Moonessa Towels may loosen or unravel slightly. If this happens, simply twist the tassels back into place by hand, and they’ll return to their original appearance.
Sand Removal: After a day at the beach, give your towel a good shake to remove sand before washing. This keeps your Moonessa Towels soft and protects your washing machine.
Longevity: With proper care, your Turkish Beach Towels will become softer and more absorbent with each wash, maintaining their quality and color over time.
🧺 Keeping Your Hooded Towels Cozy
Washing
Temperature: Wash at or below 40°C (104°F) to maintain the integrity of the fabric. Washing at higher temperatures may cause damage to the towel’s fibers and could affect its overall quality.
First Wash: Expect a slight shrinkage of 2-3% after the first wash, which is normal for 100% cotton products.
Detergents: Use a mild detergent to protect the natural cotton fibers. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners, as they can weaken the fabric and reduce absorbency.
Drying-Ironing
Air Drying: For the best results, we recommend air drying your Moonessa Hooded Towels. Hang them on a line or lay them flat to preserve the natural softness of the cotton. Air drying also helps minimize wrinkling.
Tumble Drying: If you choose to use a dryer, tumble dry on a low heat setting. Remove the towel promptly to prevent wrinkles.
Smooth Out Wrinkles: If you notice wrinkles after drying, you can iron your Moonessa Hooded Towel. Use a warm iron (medium heat setting) to smooth out any creases. Avoid using high heat, as it can damage the cotton fibers.
Steam Option: For best results, use the steam setting on your iron. This will help remove wrinkles more effectively without the need for excessive heat.
Iron Inside Out: To protect the outer surface of the towel, especially any printed or embroidered areas, iron it inside out.
Zipper Care
Close Zipper: Always close the zipper before washing to prevent it from catching on other items in the wash.
Gentle Cycle: Use a gentle cycle to protect the zipper and the fabric during washing.
Preventing Wrinkles
Shake and Smooth: After washing, give your hooded towel a good shake to help reduce wrinkles. Smooth out the fabric by hand before hanging or laying it flat to dry.
Avoid Leaving in the Machine: To prevent deep wrinkles, avoid leaving your towel wet in the washing machine for extended periods. Promptly remove it after the cycle ends and proceed to dry it as recommended.
